Vera Viola Miller Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Vera Viola Miller 91, a lifelong resident of Emmett Township, died Tuesday morning, April 10, 2012 at Sanilac County Medical Care, Sandusky. She was born February 5, 1921 in Mussey Township the daughter of the late Edward and Emma (Kehn) Behnke. Her marriage to Roy Miller was August 24 1940. Roy died July 22, 1980. Vera had lived within a mile of her childhood home. She enjoyed quilting, traveling with Roy and spending time with her family. Surviving are eight children and their spouses, Kathleen and Richard Mersimo of Oxford, Clare Miller of Clarkston, Danny of Brown City, Sally and Dwayne Busch of Almont, Bonnie and Russell Leibler of Cass City, Robin Ederer of TN, Tom and Kathy and Don and Linda all of Emmett Township; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Muriel McLaren of Port Huron and Jim (Katherine) Behnke of Capac and several friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter Diane Miller. Her family honors the memory of Vera and invite you to visit and share memories Thursday 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Capac. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday with 10:00 a.m. visiting. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Mussey Township. Memorials are suggested to “Wishes of the Family”.
