Robert Patrick Brennan

Robert Patrick Brennan Age 74, of Emmett Township died Wednesday February 7, 2007 surrounded by his family at Mercy Hospital, Port Huron following complications due to pulmonary fibrosis. He was born to James and Anna (Foley) Brennan on August 15,1932 in Kenockee Township. He was a 1950 graduate of Yale Public High School. He married Dorma Burgess on August 19, 1950 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Emmett. Bob set an exemplary standard, leaving a legacy as a wonderful father and grandfather to his family. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. He found great enjoyment in giving tractor rides to all the children. He also enjoyed his winters in Frostproof, FL with his many friends. He had the sweetest sweet tooth in town. He retired from Ford Motor Co. in 1991. He was an active member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish, a Eucharist Minister, a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #7918, the Richmond Antique Engine & Tractor Association, and the Florida Flywheelers Association. He was also a retired member of the Emmett Volunteer Fire Department. In addition to his wife Dorma, he is survived by one daughter, Shirley (Shahe) Momjian of Grosse Pointe, seven sons, James J. (Jenise) of Emmett, Robert A. (Jacquelyn) of Chester, AR., Richard J. (Katherine) of Emmett, Edward P. (Myra) of Clyde, Steven G. (Denise) of DeWitt, Donald W. (Christine) of Switzerland, and Patrick M, (fiancée Shannon) of Northville; Eighteen grandchildren, Kristi (Shawn) Francek, Timothy (Renee) and Nicole Schneider, Danny Moody, Sybil (Erick) Scheland, Rebecca Brennan, James (Amy) and Audrey Stover, Laura, Christopher and Sarah Brennan, Clara and Kristen Brennan, Killian, Liam and Douglas Brennan, Ashley and Amanda Brennan; Seven great-grandchildren, Reilly and Brennan Francek, Brandy Lee and Michelle Moody, Hannah Scheland, Collin Brennan, Paige Stover. He was also survived by three sisters, Lucille Eschker and Donna Francek of Kenockee Township, and Helen (William) Noel of Midland, and by dear friend and inspiration, Father Jasper Sirianni. He was preceded in death by an infant son David, a brother Leo, and a sister Betty Mobarak. His family honors the memory of Robert and invite you to visit and share Thursday 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Friday 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Richmond. Rite of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Our lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Emmett, with 10:00 a.m. visiting. Fr. Paul Czarnota, pastor, will officiate. Rosary devotion services will be 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-Kenockee Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Mass or “Wishes of the Family”.
