Maynard A. Gave Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Maynard A. Gave 82, of Richmond died Saturday September 24, 2011 at MediLodge of Richmond. He was born December 1, 1928 in Mt. Clemens the son of the late John and Edith Gave. His marriage to Margaret Stolp was September 4, 1954. Margaret passed away April 12, 2001. Maynard served his country with the United States Army in Germany from 1951 to 1953 during the Korean conflict. He was employed by the former Aluminum Model Toy Company for over 20 years and then Detroit Plastic Company for several years with his retirement in 1990. He was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Richmond. Maynard was a bowler and enjoyed fishing, cards, gardening, flowers, spending time with his children and grandchildren. Christmas was the most importatnt time of the year to him. Surviving are his stepsons and their spouses Dale and Ruth Bauman of Richmond and Dennis and Annette Bauman of Fernandina Beach, FL; five grandchildren, Angela, David, Cass, Thomas and Anjannette, 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters and six brothers and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters. His family honors the memory of Maynard and invites you to visit and share memories Wednesday 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Richmond. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Richmond, with 10:00 a.m. visiting. Rev. Randy Lett, pastor, will officiate.
