Marvin Darga Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Marvin Frank Darga 73, of Lexington Heights, died at his home Monday November 21, 2005 following an illness of several months. He was born September 24, 1932 in Detroit, the son of Frank and Victoria Darga. He served his country in the U. S. Navy from July 7, 1952 until June 3, 1954. He returned from navy to marry his childhood sweetheart, Kathaleen Savage, September 24, 1954 at St. Clements Church in Centerline. He was a member of Knights of Columbus for 51 years, loved hunting, fishing and bowling Marvin was a journeyman welder by trade and worked at J & L Steel, Warren, prior to retirement. They moved to Lexington, MI in 2000. In retirement he loved working on lawn tractors and small engines, woodworking making beautiful lawn and garden figurines. Surviving in addition to his wife “Kay” of 51 years are seven children; daughters and sons-in-law, Carol Warchol, Charlotte Carrow, Cynthia and Rob Wargin, Cheryl and Dan Lyons; sons and daughters-in-law, James and Ingrid, Joseph and Kristin and Marvin Jr. and fiancé Tammi; grandchildren Jennifer, Jason, Danielle, Jessica, Bobby, Brittany, Kattie, Danny and Austin, and a great-grandson Owen, siblings and nieces and nephews. His family honors the memory of Marvin and invite you to visit and share Sunday 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Richmond. Services will be 4:00 p.m. Fr.
