John Tesluk Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

John Joseph Tesluk 96, of Allenton died Saturday, August 27, 2011 at MediLodge of Yale. He was born July 30, 1915 in Detroit the son of the late Dymtro and Katherine (Koltunska) Tesluk. His marriage to Genevieve Lewinski was July 29, 1940. Genevieve died in June of 1961. John retired from General Motors in 1981. He enjoyed hunting, gardening and traveling. He is survived by five sons and daughters-in-law, John and Juanita of Attica, Edward and Sally of Algonac, Joe and Peggy of Richmond, Victor and Terry of Allenton and Jeff and Penny of Manistee, two daughters and sons-in-law, Genevieve and Jack Oskorus of CA and Josephine and Gary Julian of Clinton Township; 13 grandchildren, Michael, Sharon, Robert (Gigi), Jacqueline, John R. (Beth Ann), Rhett (Phyllis), Michael (Amy), James (Stephanie) Nick, Michael (Louise) Annie, Jeffrey and Travis, nine great-grandchildren, Ella, Grant, Samantha, Kody, Jessica, Matthew, Ethen, Ila and Jocelyn; brother, Stanley of Manistee and several nieces, nephews and friends. One brother and three sisters preceded him in death. His family honors the memory of John and invites you to attend Rite of Christian Burial 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 9 at St. John’s the Evangelist Catholic Church, Allenton, with 10:00 a.m. visiting. Fr. Doc, associate pastor, will officiate. A Luncheon will follow at Victor’s home. Arrangements are by Kaatz Funeral Directors, Capac. Memorials are suggested to “Wishes of the Family”.
