Ethil Potts Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Ethel Potts 77, of Clinton Township, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at McLaren Macomb Hospital. She was born in Onaway, December 5, 1934, the daughter of the late Frederick W. and Beatrice E. (Alexander) Sabisch. Ethel married Sidney Sprague in 1951. She married James D. Potts in 1962. Ethel enjoyed bird watching, reading, watching golf and her favorite sports teams. She was an upholstery seamstress for many years at Fraser Upholstery. Surviving are four sons, Richard (Patricia) Sprague of Macomb, MI, Michael Sprague of Sterling Heights, MI, Dwain (Tammy) Potts of Yale, MI and Robert (Rhonda) Potts of Richmond, MI and three daughters, Leah (Gary) Truance of Bidwell, OH, Armanda (Bill) Dailey of Wellston, OH and Debrah (Thomas) Gunn of Clinton Township, MI; four step-children, Patricia (Waymon) Lovell of Blairsville, GA , James (Betty) Potts of White, GA , Mary Elizabeth (Ben) Burrell of Blairsville, GA and Lawanda (Randall) Titshaw of Sugar Hill, GA; 34 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; brother, Walter Sabisch of St. Clair Shores and many nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, James D. Potts; a son, Earl Sprague; grandson, Douglas and siblings, Beatrice, Alvernin, and Charles. Her family honors the memory of Ethel and invites you to attend a memorial luncheon Saturday, September 15 at Total Sports, 40501 Production Drive, Harrison Twp. 48045 to visit and share memories from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Diabetes or cancer research.
