Eleanor Mary Theut

Eleanor Mary Theut 84, of Wales Township, died unexpectedly Sunday, April 9, 2006 at Port Huron Hospital emergency room. She was born November 22, 1921 in Casco Township, the daughter of the late Walter and Anne Jahn Rhein. Her marriage to Raymond Clement Theut was September 8, 1945 in Richmond. Raymond passed away September 3, 1981. Eleanor had attended St. Augustine Catholic School, Richmond and was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Emmett, since 1956. She was a member of Daughters of Isabella. She was employed by Conrad Poultry Farm Goodells as an egg gatherer for 22 years until her retirement. She enjoyed babysitting for her grandchildren and enjoyed to knit, crochet, and work in her garden. Surviving are 4 daughters and 3 sons-in-law Cecelia and James Atherton of Trenton, Mary and Anthony Salski of Goodells, Susan Theut of Goodells and Cynthia and Mark Armstead of Smiths Creek; 2 sons and a daughter-in-law Fred and Arlene of Port Huron and Ray and fiancée Roxanne Sears of Port Huron; 19 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; beloved nephew Harold Rhein and his wife Cathy; 5 sisters and 3 brothers-in-law Marcella and Herb Wasmund of Utica, Virginia DeCock of Macomb, Elsie Fowler of Memphis, and Mary Ann and Frank Cumper of Kingston; 4 brothers and 3 sisters-in-law Elmer and Marie Rhein of New Haven, Joseph and Sharon Rhein of Richmond, Howard Rhein of Richmond, and Norbert and Margie Rhein of Romeo and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandsons James “Jimbo” Quick in 2001, Joseph Edward Salski in 2000, Mark Wayne Salski in 2006 and brother Harold Rhein. Her family honors the memory of Eleanor and invite you to visit and share Tuesday 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Richmond. Rite of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Emmett, with 10:00 a.m. visiting. Fr. Erwin Bauer, visiting pastor, will officiate.
