Connie Rae Adams

Connie Rae Adams 70, of Metamora, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at William Beaumont Hospital, Troy. She was born in Yale, August 16, 1941, the daughter of the late John D. and Margaret C. (Costine) Randall. Connie was a 1959 Yale High School graduate. Her marriage to Junior Norman Adams was May 25, 1963 at the First Presbyterian Church, Croswell. She moved to Metamora in 1966 where she was employed by First National Bank. She spent a number of years working for First of America Bank in Metamora and later in Dryden. Connie continued in the banking business until her 2006 retirement as branch manager of Oxford Bank Dryden office where she was a bank officer. She treated her customers like family. Connie was a former member of the Dryden Chamber of Commerce and a former member of the Dryden Sports Boosters. She enjoyed baking, golfing and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Connie will be remembered for her kindness to others and her willingness to always put family and friends first in her life. She had a great love of sports and closely followed the Detroit Lions, Tigers and Pistons. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Surviving in addition to Norm, her husband of 48 years, are a son, Randy Adams of Grand Blanc, and a daughter, Kelly (James) Niebel of DeWitt; two grandchildren, Kirsten Valdez and Logan Adams; three siblings, Bonnie Wolf of Yale, Maureen (Don) Williams of St. Clair Shores and Bill (Vicki) Randall of Yale, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Her family honors the memory of Connie and invite you to visit and share memories Monday 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Capac. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday with 10:00 a.m. visiting. Rev. Dennis Cook, pastor of Restoration Station Wesleyan Church, Port Huron, will officiate. Inurnment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, North Branch. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
