Carrie Jo Matusik

Carrie Jo Matusik 53, of Richmond, died unexpectedly, Saturday May 19, 2007 at River District Hospital emergency room, East China Township. She was born February 27, 1954 in St. Clair the daughter of James and Lillian Foley Mackley. Her marriage to Stanley Matusik was June 8, 1973 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Richmond. Carrie was a customer service representative for Belle River Credit Union. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and camping with her beloved dog Roxy. She loved crocheting and reading. Surviving in addition to her husband Stanley of 34 years are five children and spouses, Jennifer and Stephen Ingman Jr. of Warren, Melissa and Roger Vargo Jr. of Port Huron, Elizabeth and Jeremy Frantz of St. Clair, Kathryn Matusik and fiancée Robert Qualls III of Richmond and Kevin (Sarah Daley) of Richmond; nine grandchildren Stephen III, Allison and Angelina Ingman, Maverick Lamsa, Samuel and Dylan Vargo, Haylee, James II and Jeremy Jr. Frantz; her parents, William and Lillian Martindale of Richmond; six sisters and five brothers-in-law, Monica and Steve Dutt of Macomb, Dianna and Gordie Mackley of Lenox, Pam Mackley of Rochester Hills, Theresa and Alan Schneider of Boyne City, Connie and Dan Hebel of Columbus and Dawn and John Kemezis of Highland, four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Tom and Lisa Martindale, Ken and Carolle Martindale of Pahrump, NV, Ron and Denice Martindale of Oxford and Dean Martindale of New Baltimore and many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by her father James Mackley; grandparents Alger and Margaret Mackley,Stephen and Mary Foley, and Casper and Irene Martindale, aunts Barb Van Nuck and Joan Harms and uncle James Van Nuck, uncle Edward and aunt Margorie Foley, uncle John Martindale, and father and mother-in-law, Walter and Caroline Matusik. Her family honors the memory of Carrie and invites you to visit and share Tuesday 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Richmond. Rite of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Richmond, with 10:00 a.m. visiting. Monsignor George Brown, visiting pastor, will officiate.
