Bonnie Puchlak Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Bonnie Puchlak 63, of Yale, died unexpectedly Monday, February 27, 2012 at McLaren Regional Medical Center Flint. She was born June 2, 1948 in Yale the daughter of the late Leo and Marie (Monaghan) Gleason. Her marriage of 42 years to Walter Puchlak was October 1, 1967 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Yale. Walt died May 1, 2010. Bonnie and Walt co-owned the former Laundry Mat, Dairy Hut restaurant, the former Shell and Total gas stations in Yale and Wally World. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving are a daughter, Tammy Puchlak (Earl Rope) of Lapeer; four grandchildren, Ted, Crystal, Brian Jones, and Mathew Rope; siblings, Joann and Bill Hazel, Betty Stiles, Mary and Rick Thierry and Bill and Wilma Gleason all of Yale, Kathleen and George Job of Richmond and Colleen and Larry Gerlach of Memphis and several nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her son Timothy in 1996. Her family honors the memory of Bonnie and invites you to visit and share memories Wednesday 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Yale. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday with 10:00 a.m. visiting. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Yale. Memorials are suggested to Yale Food Pantry.
