Arlene June Wood 79, of Yale, died Thursday morning September 22, 2011, at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. She was born June 19, 1932 in Los Angeles, California the daughter of the late Blake and Grace (Easter) Haskins. Her marriage to Thomas McLean Wood was May 6, 1967, in Inglewood, CA. Thomas passed away Wednesday, March 24, 1999. “Arlie” worked for Air Research, California, in production control for many years before moving to Michigan and at Paramont, which changed to Sheller Globe of Eastpointe for 8 years as an accounts receiver. She enjoyed her summers at North Lakeport State Trailer Park, golfing, football (especially Southern California University and University of Michigan football) reading and spending time with her great-granddaughter Aubrey. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Dale Warren of Brockway Township; two grandchildren, Shaina Jenkins of Yale and Richard Warren of Yale, great-granddaughter, Aubrey Stiles; sister, Linda Jenkins of CA and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Her family honors the memory of Arlene and invites you to visit and share memories Monday 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Yale. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday with 10:00 a.m. visiting. Rev. Lisa Clark, pastor of Capac United Methodist Churches, will officiate.
