Anthony LaMarra Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Anthony LaMarra 93, of Lynn Township died Friday May 4, 2012 at home. He was born June 10, 1918, in St. Elia, Italy, the son of the late Joseph and Maryann (Tomellio) LaMarra. His marriage to Angelina Rossi was October 4, 1941 in Detroit. Angelina died November 24, 1982. Anthony was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Yale. He co-owned and operated Carlesimo and LaMarra Construction, Sterling Heights for five years in the mid 1950’s, then worked for Knight Construction, Detroit and retired from Kaltz Construction in 1984. He enjoyed farming and spending time with his family. Surviving are four children Raymond of Lynn Township, Theresa (Donald) Clerc of Peck, Ronald of North Branch and Rosemary Baschal (Karl) of Galt CA; five grandchildren, Michelle Shekoski, Rebbeca Schaufele, Sarah LaMarra Hill, Michael LaMarra and Theresa Baschal; three great-grandchildren, Dillon and Hanna Shekoski and Angie Schaufele; brother Benny of Farmington Hills and several nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by siblings, Antoinette, Angelo, Stephen and Romeo and daughter-in-law, Yvonne LaMarra (1994). His family honors the memory of Anthony and invites you to visit and share memories Monday 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Yale, with rosary devotion services at 7:00 p.m. Rite of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Yale with 10:00 a.m. visiting.
