Jean M. Grzych Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Jean M. Grzych 89, of Almont died Tuesday, January 4, 2011, at Lapeer County Medical Care Facility, Mayfield Twp. She was born May 1, 1921, in Detroit the daughter of the late John and Stella (Przybysz) Wysocki. Her marriage to Steven Joseph Grzych was February 14, 1942. Steven died July 31, 1996. Jean owned and operated Alcoy Garden Supply, Detroit, from 1964 to 1989 and moved to the farm in Berlin Township in 1976. She was a parishioner of St. John’s the Evangelist Catholic Church, Allenton and the Altar Society. Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Bernadette and Paul Barron of Metamora and Elaine and Jaime Rollo of Almont and Marilyn and Joe Alessi of Harrison Twp.; grandchildren, Audrey, Sharon, Michael, Matthew, and Anthony, four great grandchildren; sister, Irene Wesserling and brother, Donald Wysocki of Fl and several nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her grandson, David (1993) and siblings, Lucy, Cecelia, Helen, Theodore, Chester, Geraldine and Edward. Her family honors the memory of Jean and invites you to visit and share memories Friday 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Capac, with rosary devotion at 7:00 p.m. Rite of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday at St. John’s the Evangelist Catholic Church, Allenton, with 9:00 a.m. visiting.
